Well, happy belated birthday to me :) I have reached the ripe old age of 31 as of December 8, 2005. The second birthday I've celebrated in this god forsaken place. I don't really have a lot of feelings on this past year of my life. For the most part it was good. Quite a few exercises leading up to a deployment and the complete postponement of my future by the United States Army. Aside from that it was a good year.

Today in the news the main thing to stick out in my mind was Murtha's press conference. I must say the man is brilliant and paints the picture as it is in reality. Take the time to read the whole thing because it really gives you insight into this man's extrordinary character and honesty. You may not agree with everything he says but in the political world we live in it is truely refreshing.

Speaking of refreshing also check out http://www.politicsofdissent.blogspot.com/. His post is awesome. I'm in complete agreement with the man. America has been sliding down the tube for years on the moral ground as well as intellectual.
